eurocupsmall Liverpool have learnt their opponents in the Champions League for the new season.

The 2005 winners have been drawn against PSV Eindhoven, Galatasary and Bordeaux, who hero of Istanbul Vladimir Smicer currently plays for, and is due a welcome return to Anfield. Speaking about the prospect of playing infront of the Anfield crowd again on October 31st, Vladi said "It's fantastic to play against Liverpool, that's all I wanted. Playing there again is going to be pure pleasure

"We have a great draw, I am very happy about it, especially because I think we can make it through to the next round. It will be open and I think there is no clear favourite. We have the level to beat all those teams."

Speaking about the draw, Rick Parry said : "It's okay, PSV and Bordeaux are a little bit of an unknown for us, but it's okay,I don't think there is such a thing as a favourable draw, none of the groups are that easy.

"Turkey's a long way, but we've avoided the Eastern European trips, so it's okay."
