Bets being made on Henry to join Liverpool

Bookies have been taking bets on Thierry Henry to join Liverpool in the january transfer window.
Betfred were offering 33/1 for the frenchman to sign for Liverpool,but this has now been reduced to 20/1 and were also offering 125/1 for Henry to score against Arsenal in the FA Cup this weekend, but that has since been taken down.
Henry has been quoted in the past as saying that if he could have played for any other English team it would be us, but after crap in the papers saying he could be on his way, and with Liverpool on the verge of being taken over, people have been betting regularly on Arsenal's hitman moving to Anfield this month.
These are the same odds as Liverpool winning the Champion's league this season, so expect to see Thierry running out at Anfield sometime soon

Just thought id put my 2 cents in as a life long gooner. After hearing about these bets being made, i googled it and found this site. Gotta say, i dont believe a word of the rumours, but it has made for an interesting night at work. It sounds as if you lot have a respect for TH14, which is nice to know. Most prem fans will never admit to admiring a player from another team. I will say now, hand on heart, that i thing Gerrard is a brilliant player, and i would love to see him move to the Grove, but unfortunately, i think there is as much chance of that as there is of Thierry the other way. Im sure both teams will be just fine with there club captains staying exactly where they are now and leading by good example, that to a honest and decent player team pride comes ahead of money (cough cough Cashley Hole!!!!!)

3-1 scorline doesnt really tell the whole truth…its not worth it now but we shouldof had a penalty…we should of closed down on rosicky twice and carragher should of kicked the ball out when henry was rushing towards him…hats of to the people in the kop for singing on till the end ..i salute them and salute the players …shame about mistakes ..but i think revenge should be on the agenda the coming game…and i hope the fans sing their heads off cos pride is at stake ….may anfield always remain our fortress !
I agree we should have had a penalty. The second goal was a real downer considering that there was 6 liverpool players outside the box and yet they still couldnt get a challenge in on Rosicky. My only gripe is that Garcia still continues to frustrate the hell out of me, gave the ball away a few times, Bellamy should have came on for him and we could also have brought on Gonzalez on the left to put in a few crosses.Ok its dissappointing that we didnt win but the team is gelling nicely, lets put this result behind us and get revenge in the carling cup.
PS It was great to see the fans together in the Kop showing unity against that scum editor from the sun.

We got what we deserved today, i think when ever we play the big three rafa is always too cautious, and some of the players waited for today to have a crap game, we were just losing out on too many 50 – 50s in the first half, rosicky’s first was the kind of goal i was hoping gerrard or alonso would get, thought we were going to grab the equalizer but poor play from jamie and slow reaction from dudek made it to easy for an average henry display, we needed some pace up front to really trouble them, but that’s not to say i think crouch or kuyt played badly, don’t know why he felt the need to play dudek, good decision to take riise off, i would have rather won today and lost on tuesday, wenger’s obviously going to take the piss and send his kids up on tuesday so beating them won’t carry as much weight now, but win we still have too, losing always hurts especially as the new wembly was the prize as well, not blaming the boss as the team selection was still good enough to win the game, chelsea and utd are better than us but arsenal are not, when we applied real pressure they nearly broke.
Disappointing result but there were a few plus that we can take from it, in the form of aurellio. He played his best football so far today with superb passing and great link up play with garcia and he was unlucky not to score late on. Pennant rolled up his sleeves more in the second half and khuyts work rate as always was immense! Yes pride is at stake but i think that the league and champions league is the main areas rafa wants to concentrate on, as reflected in his team selection. Pretty gutted but we are sitting nicely in the prem plus we still have a mouth watering tie with barca. BUT a warning to rafa … we need pace up front!!!!!!!!!

Yes they have put six past us, of which their slick passing sometimes deserved, but they are NOT in the title race with utd and chelsea, they are battling for 3rd or 4th champs league place with LFC, Bolton and Portsmouth,”YOU NEED WONDER NO MORE”, but if your still wondering, take a look at the prem table, that’s if your mind has’nt gone wandering.

I think most Liverpool fans have got massive respect for Henry.
I remember being at a game a few years back, I think it was December 2000, wen we beat Arsenal 4-0, but Henry was great and got a great reception from Reds fans.
Ever since then he’s always had a good reception at Anfield, and i think thats why he sed if he cud play for another English club it’d b us.
Not that i think this rumour is true of course, coz it’s bollox!
Henry’s an honest footballer. As a LFC fan, he’s one of very few EPL non-LFC players that I like. However I’ll not bet any quid on him playing for us.
We have been playing our most consistent football of the season so far, so i hope rafa does not feel the need to tinker with the team selection too much, in the way of coming up with some master plan to beat arsenal, it’s not needed as wenger is the one who should be worried, 1 goal conceded in 10 games speaks volumes, the players just need to remember the emirates humiliation and the picture of Riise & Gerrard arguing about who was at fault for the 3rd goal, just send them out to right the wrong that was done that day, we did’nt deserve to win but 3-0 (no f*****g way), we played much worse Vs utd or much better Vs chelsea and did’nt give away 3 goals, yes it’s all about revenge, they come to anfield 3 times this season, that’s 3 VICTORIES for each of those lazy goals we gave them.
P.S The only world class player i would break the bank for is KAKA of ac milan and i’d wait for some defender more classy than neill to become available.
