Bolo Zenden has been criticised recently , and when he was named in the starting line up, a lot of eyebrows were raised, everyone thought he would prove to be the weak link, but last night Zenden ran his heart out , and after 2 hours of play he had the bottle to get up and take a penalty (and score!!!)

I will be the first to admit i was surprised that he was starting, but he did a good job, got some decent crosses in, won a free kick or two in dangerous areas, but the main thing was the penalty.

From where i was sat in the Kop, my view was blocked by flags and scarves, but Rafa went over to Zenden when he was on the floor, tapped him on the shoulder, Zenden eagerly nodded and got to his feet, straight away i knew he was taking a penalty.

Everyone around me was screaming "f**kin hell not Zenden", and when he scored the place erupted. He has won a few people over just for last night.

Well in Zenden!
