Transfer round up: Whos in and out?

Liverpool have been quite busy in the transfer market this season, letting a large number of attacking minded players go, whilst bringing in a host of new talent .

The biggest transfer story of all has been the arrival of Fernando Torres from Atletico Madrid, but Rafa Benitez didnt leave it at just one striker , he also brought in Babel, Benayoun and Voronin.

A few stars for the future have also been signed, but dont expect them to have much of a run out this season other than in reserve team fixtures.

Luis Garcia returned to Spain, joining Atletico Madrid. Garcia will be sorely missed, his last game was against Arsenal in January when he went off injured. Garcia was always the man for the big occasion, and no one will forget his goals in the 2005 Champion's leage that got us to Istanbul, or his beauty against Chelsea in the FA Cup semi.

The biggest upset was the release of Robbie Fowler. God returned in January 2006, but his contract was not renewed at the end of last season. He has since agreed to join Cardiff City.

Djibril Cisse's Anfield career was put to rest, with him moving to Marseille after spending last season on loan at the French side. Craig Bellamy moved after just one season, after finding his opportunities limited, and finding himself further down the pecking order after the arrivals of Babel, Voronin and Torres.

Florent Sinama-Pongolle has also left, joining Recreativo after a season long loan at the La Liga Outfit. Sinama never really got to show his ability for the reds, but was instrumental in the comeback against Olympiakos when the reds needed 3 goals to go through.

Jerzy Dudek has joined Real Madrid, after Scott Carson returned from a loan spell at Charlton. Dudek was Reina's understudy at Anfield, and will have a similar role at the Bernabeu behind Iker Casillas.

Rafa hasnt finised, he is in pursuit of Gabriel Heinze from Manchester United, but the Mancs are refusing to let him join their arch rivals. It wont be before long that Benitez drops his interests, and looks elsewhere to find another defender.
