Dubai International Capital has tabled an offer of £400million to buy the club from Tom Hicks and George Gillett.
DIC came close to buying the club over a year ago before Hicks and Gillett's offer was accepted by David Moores, and now after Hicks and Gillett lied about what was going to happen to the club, the fans want the American owners out. DIC Spokesperson Jehad Saleh said "No figures have been (publicly) mentioned, and talks are ongoing. No timeline has been set on the talks.
Earlier in the day, DIC Chief executive Sameer al-Ansari came out and said "It’s no secret that we have been in discussions with the current owners, It’s not easy because the owners are in dreamland about valuations at the moment.”
Reports originally suggested that a deadline of midnight was placed on the bid, but this was later ruled out by DIC. Hopefully we will have new owners soon who don't lie about funds, and try and get new managers in behind the current boss' back.
