Chelsea fans have come up with their own version of the Fernando Torres song sung by Liverpool fans.
Liverpool fans have been bouncing this year to the tune of 'Fernando Torres Liverpool's number 9', but now the plastic flag waving chavs have copied our song with this crap effort:

Its good news hearing that we are in discussions with Sammy Lee to become Rafa’s assistant. He definately needs one and it is allways good to have a buffer between the players and the boss. I just hope Sammy talks some sense into the Spaniard and puts him straight on his rotation policy and buying decent players.Signing Sammy up as his assistant could be a very good move by benitez and may bear a huge factor in us competing for the title next season. David Villa plays alongside Fernando Torres for Spain, he also outshines Torres when playing for his country and is a provan goalscorer in La Liga, as a result I RECKON WE SHOULD MAKE HIM A PRIORITY SIGNING.
Finding a forward to play alongside Torres will never be easy, but here we have one who plays alongside him well, yes he will cost approx 20- 25m, 12-15m will be recieved as and when Crouch is sold ( theres no way he will sit on the bench for another season ).

would strike fear into any defence, and has the potential of being a 50-60 goal a season force. A number of experts say that Villa is a better player than Torres, hard to believe but together they could score the goals needed to fire us to the Premiership title.

In this day and age average players cost 10m above average 20m plus, David Villa is above average, every deal weve been linked with its as if were trying to buy players on the cheap.
Forget the Yanks money if we sell Crouch12-15m, Pennant 6m, Riise5m, Carson 8m , Guthrie 2-3m, and Voronin 2m, we could expect close to 40m , add money for qualifying for getting to the semis in Europe again 20m. Thats 60m without the so called 25m Hicks has said is hallmarked for transfers in his refinancing, ( wether this materialises is questionable).
Either way we should have 50-60m.

Big rumours today that Crouch is on his way to Portsmouth,the fee 12m. If this is the case we will definately need another striker because Kuyt and Voronin couldnt score in a brothel,and if anything happened to Torres we can kiss the Premiership good bye.
Crouch has never really been given fair treatment by Benitez and I’d be very suprised if he doesnt score 20 -25 goals next year in the Premiership, I only hope Benitez can sign a replacement who can offer a simular goal threat.
Crouch has done fairly well at Liverpool during his time at the club, so I wish him well.

your right , i spoke to a friend before, and he said dossena is a good player. he said juventus were fav to sign him. i have never seen him play so i am not sure, as for deggen i have seen once he was just ok. but you can,t judge from one game. but eddie, i think there is more to come. lets hope its someone we all know.

KEV J Iwonder sometimes if Benitez acually knows what a good signing actually is his track recold on transfers is not that great to my mind Torres Reina Agger and Mascherano have been his success stories but there have been an awful lot of very ordinary and crap signings.If Benitez starts to buy a load of rubbish, we need to get rid of him. If he cannot work it out that he’s head is for the chop if we have another dissapointing season, then he is more stupid than I allready think he is.

I’m beginning to get a nasty feeling that Hicks & Gillet are trying to pull a fast one on us as they did last year, I reckon Benitez has been given diddly squat to spend and been told he needs to generate his own transfer kitty, why else are we signing bosman freebies and offering below the market rate for Barry, theres no way we will get him for 10m.
Our club needs to wake up good players cost big money and Benitez needs to get things spot on this Summer or he will be sacked come Christmas.

If Rafa had the money to buy all the best players in the world then he would. Unfortunately not EVERY player wants to play for us, most of the best players in the world play for Liverpools rivals.
It’s stupid to criticise Benitez ALREADY. You don’t know anything about Dossena mate, just like you didn’t know anything about Agger and a bunch of other of Benitez’ signings I bet.
Our owners won’t even go in the same room as eachother, it’s hard to spend massive amounts.
As for people saying “Oh just sign Villa for 20m sell Crouch for 10m easy”, what planet are you on? It’s not Champ Manager, maybe Villa doesn’t want to come to Liverpool, he wouldn’t suit Benitez 4-2-3-1 formation and I doubt he’d want to sit on the bench. We scored 117 goals this season, more than we have in a while, so get a hold of your rants, it’s nonsense and you haven’t thought about it sensibly.

Do people bother to look at the league table and see the goal difference between ManUre and Liverpool? Even if we were on equal points we were way behind in goal difference!
Yet people are going on about 117 goals as if we were playing amazing football all year! Clocking up 8 goals against teams like Besiktas and 6 against Derby don’t make you a great team.
I guess it just a remark to show that there has been some progress infront of goal. Many who show up in this webpage seem very much ignorant of what importance and improvement Torres has brought to the side, as if he was undervalued by everybody on this webpage !!!
The additions of Torres, Babel and Benayoun have contributed to scoring 50+ more goals to a side that hardly impressed infront of goal in the previous 3 seasons. And no I don’t think people are refering to that as a success, it’s not… but it’s an “improvement” of what we were in the last few seasons…
We need more quality, particulalry in Full-back positions, left and right, along with a well established winger to do the job. Now that Merry Kewell is gone “THANK GOD” and Babel getting into a more forward role, there should be more wide players coming in.
More goals can be seen as an improvement, Base21, but last season we came 3rd in the league and got to the final of the Champions League with less goals scored. This season we didn’t do as well so that is a disappointing season that didn’t improve where it matters most – in the league table.
Torres is a superstar, and Babel will be very good in the coming years. But Benayoun is a squad player.
Ultimately though it doesn’t matter if the team improves on paper if the results and league positions don’t improve. Benitez clearly needs to get more out of all the players to challenge for the league or it won’t matter who we sign.
Rafa obviously knows what a good signing is, but like rouman says this isnt champs manager on the P.S 2. We are one of the biggest clubs in the world operating on one of the smallest budgets in our class status. we havent got the cash to go waste on superstars like chelsea, or to buy 3 £18m players every season like Man-ure. We have to get players in and hope they do well. Every manager has bad signings, But in 3-4yrs Rafa has brought to this club and kept there Reina,alonso,agger,babel,torres,
mascherano,crouch, and kept gerrard. That group of players is quality and class personified and from our current squad who have not made the mark he is shipping out or allowing to leave ie kewell,voronin,riise etc. Yes he has bought duds but so did fergie and moriniho. I belive rafa is going to buy a couple of decent players in very soon. he is trying to keep the nucleus together and when he adds a coupls more we will have a great team, we already do if honest just that we are in a league with the best teams in the world at the moment, if we played in france spain or italy we would be champions with this squad. we are also competing against 2 of the richest clubs in the world utd and chelsea so lets give the man and the club a break with who we are trying to sign until he does sign. and if there isnt a big budget then its not rafa its the owners fault but we cant continue to act like kids in a candy store saying we want this and that, it aint that simple

i just saw the 33 goal compilation tony put out…really well done mate.. its just a treat to watch torres man… u shud see it everyday early in the morning and u happy for the rest of the day…haha… the bloke is just amazing.. and the best thing abt him is he just looks forward when he gets the ball which our other strikers lack… i mean he gets the ball and only tries to get it in the goal nothing else..its such an easy n effective perspective he has of the game.. no fancy footwork no giving the ball back … the confidence wit which he plays is somethin the other players shud learn from.. he isnt afraid of anyone nor of taking anyone on.. i mean he gets knocked abt so much by the defenders but he just gets up shrugs it off and is back taking the same defender again… the only fear i have next season is the approach the other teams take to tackle him… i mean u saw the mancs.. they didn want the ball ..they were just goin for his ankles.. i hope the other teams dont do that .. itll be a big loss if he were to have a long time injury next season.. a true RED!!!!

Spot on Kev J. Downing is a decent middle premiership player nothing more. Also it makes a change hearing a player like Petrov mentioned, as he shouldn’t cost too much, he knows what the premiership is about, he was class at the start but faded just like the whole Man City squad, plus when you only have Vassell to hit in the middle wouldn’t you go off the boil? But don’t think that think he is the answer, I would love us to sign some of the players that always get a mention on this site, but face facts we haven’t got billions to spend like some, in fact I’m sure the yanks are struggling to pay for Torres and Babel.
Degen is an attacking right wing back or as we know them now right back, not seen much but have watched few games with him playing, rafa during the signing has been talking him up saying he is a quality attacking player who will give us width, but if honest from what i have seen he is just OK standard, bit like riise in his day or finnan b4 the legs went. Rafa is right on 1 thing, he is FREE, young, and gives us cover and a more width, however daniel alves etc he ISNT. You will see more of him this summer in the EURO’S 08 for swiss national team, so keep track of him there,
Its not a bad signing, however its not one which will win us the prem, but it is just cover remember that and free.

iam not a fan of kranjcar. i know wenger, thinks hes great but to me he is only ok. ive seen riera play a few times. in spain he has done well, but when i first saw hi at man city o loan he was quite skillfull but light weight. he seems to have got over this problem . how well he does here is anyones guess…
breaking news 2day that philip degen will sign 4 liverpool on july 1st from borussia dortmund on a free transfer personally i dont think we need him u dont get much for free these days.

dregen was signed, because, were losing riise,and finnan is,t as young as he was. dregen is known more for his attacking, than his defending, so it will be intresting how he fits in to our side.

yea sorry about the spelling,too early in the morning. fulham want finnan back. even if he stays, he is 31 and though still good, he has lost speed. degan was a star a few years ago , but injuries and loss of form he lost his place in the german side. he is only25 i think rafa thinks he can improve him, i hope so. the other guy there after, in italy is a good allrounder .maybey we will be lucky and have 2 gems in are team. only time will tell..
