Rafa Benitez has named his starting 11 for the game against Man City at Anfield today; there is no place in the squad for Crouch or Riise.
Insua gets his Anfield debut, while Alonso is dropped to the bench with Lucas taking his place alongside Mascherano. The team in full is: Reina, Finnan, Insua, Carragher, Hyypia, Lucas, Mascherano, Babel, Kuyt, Gerrard, Torres. Subs: Itandje, Voronin, Benayoun, Alonso, Skrtel.
