Still no news on the club sale despite “hope

They say no news is good news; clearly not in this case. Liverpool fans are still left wondering what is happening regarding the sale of the club, despite talk in July that the club was ‘on course’...

Jamie Redknapp suffering from Verbal Diarrhoea

Jamie Redknapp is the latest former player to come out and criticise Rafa Benitez by claiming the manager manipulates Liverpool fans. Redknapp should get himself to his local GP; as it seems he has a case of verbal Diarrhoea.

It’s easy to kick a man while he’s down, and to jump on the bandwagon slagging Benitez off when Liverpool aren’t doing well; but as former Liverpool Captain should he be twisting the knife?

No fan of LFC wants to see the team in the situation they are in at the moment; yet Rednapp seems to think we are all taken in by Rafa who has apparently used the media to “manipulate” Liverpool fans: ‘They have won one in 10 now and fans will be thinking. They are firmly behind him, though, he manipulates the fans, he gets them how he wants them.

‘But there comes a time, if they go out of Europe this week and then lose at Everton, that the fans are swayed and will say that we have to look at him now.

‘That team is not really going anywhere. The problem you will get is that will Fernando Torres want to play in the Europa League? I don’t think so.If they don’t get into the top four at the end of this season, it will be a major problem.

‘You have huge problems going on behind the scenes with the owners, but it is too easy to blame that. On the pitch the players are not playing well enough, that’s a fact.’

‘A few years ago zonal marking was the best format because they were one of the best defenders from set pieces. But the reason for that was that they had Peter Crouch and Sami Hyypia, two guys who are 6ft 5in plus.

‘It doesn’t matter how you defend when the ball comes in, zonal or man to man, they will clear it. Now you have a situation where people are not taking responsibility.

‘You might have to turn round and say that zonal isn’t working, let’s go man for man. At the moment he is giving players excuses, teams look at it and think they will score against Liverpool.’

Rather than being manipulated; maybe we are just disappointed with the way things are going this year, but are giving Rafa a chance after last season where we were only 4 points behind Man Utd.

For Redknapp to suggest Torres will be out the door if we don’t qualify for the Champion’s league is complete and utter bollocks; as proven by the following words from Fernando’s mouth:
“I’m very happy with my contract and wouldn’t leave just to earn a little more somewhere else where I wouldn’t be that happy. To want any more would be greedy and that is not me. As long as Liverpool want me, I will stay.”

“It isn’t easy to adapt when you come to Liverpool, but believe me, once you have you really don’t want to play anywhere else.”

“A lot of players committed themselves to Liverpool this summer with new contracts and players don’t do that unless they think they can have their ambitions met.

“There is a lot of belief at the club and a lot of trust in the manager. I sincerely believe I will win the Premier League and the Champions League here. The winning tradition is very clear at Liverpool. I want to be involved in a little piece of their history.”

Clearly Redknapp thinks he knows what Torres wants more than Fernando himself, must be the one of the symptoms of Verbal Diarrhoea (also known as talking shit).

maybey but the noises, are getting louder about rafa. i have stood by him all the time , i have been on here but even i am having my doubts.my biggest problem is the players, he picks, and the system he plays at home. 2 holding players? none of them creative kuyt a workhorse yes, but never good enough for all the good rafa has done , he is close to undoing it. he needs to talk to kenny because the noises are getting louder around anfield , and i will stick with him till the end of the season as i have promised, but he needs to understand even liverpool fans, have a breaking point…

jamie redknapp is a prat end of story. He thinks he is some kind of cockney wideboy and he played like a crab on downers whenever he played for liverpool . I would have kuyt before i had that little spice girl in a liverpool kit
