Lyon v Liverpool: Where did it go wrong?

Liverpool drew 1-1 with Lyon last night, leaving any chance of getting through the group stages of the Champion’s League hanging by a thread’ but what do you think went wrong last night?
There are a number of possible reasons: Rafa’s tactics/his woeful decision to play Voronin/the lack of introduction of Aquilani/bringing on Babel too late, or we are just simply unlucky.
We still had a team (apart from Voronin) that was good enough to win last night, yet again we threw it away against Lyon who were hardly at full strength themselves. What do you think was the problem?

Simple, we let a goal in when we had the result we wanted.

In the first place what was right??. Let me guess May be Voronin making the starting line up. RB has really taught me (the hard way) what Newcastle fans felt last season)!!. He should go back to where a hell he came from. With him as LFC manager i bet its easier to find snow in hell than him win a EPL. If they don’t want to sack him then they should let Torres join another team. I don’t want us and Rafa to go down with him.
He is young with a grate future and a Player of the year material i don’t want to see brochures advertising him every where (remember those of Owen) after Rafa has archived his long term dream of taking lfc down to the championship!!
I agree J.B every thing was wrong voronin,lucas,kuyt RB just to name 4 problems i really cant understand what the rest of these fans see in RB i really dont surely by now they know he isnt cut out to win us the PL are they really that stupid! by the time we play monday jb we can find ourselves mid table and that is frightening isnt it? enough is enough 4 me i want him out it wouldnt put us further behind if we got rid of him as some people are saying thats bollocks! if we want success in the prem we need to show RB the door and only then will we become a force in football coz lets be honest anyone can beat us with rafa’s stupid team selections!!!!
You Know what Kev J one thing some fan haven’t noticed is that it take time to build a good team but it time a very short time to destroy it. Secondly most footballers are employees not fans. They want to develop their carrier and be part of a wining team.
if Lfc can’t provide that then they leave as simple as that. The last thing any employee can’t stand is a manager who frustrates his efforts we all know this better and its worse in football. If we are pissed with Rafa then the Players themselves are more pissed and have to keep it to themselves unlike us who shout the frustration out. Had Scolari remained at chelsea may be today chelsea’s Drogba, Terry, Lampard etc would have left. They were Quietly doubting his decisions while he took it personal for the Vocal ones like Drogba and benched them while they were the best he had.
That’s where we are heading to. U should have seen Reina’s reaction when Voronin missed that golden chance. its was like I new he would waste it.
Now there is a tendency of avoiding mistakes by players Voronin decides to go deep in midfield to avoid missing another golden opportunity, Lucas can’t move a step forward with the ball or give a forward pass. As a result people conclude they had a descent game why because they run away from responsibility.

there is a lot of crap, getting said on here. yes voronin is crap, so is kuyt, and lucas. but thats it we have a shit squad but we don,t become crap over night . and to sack rafa now WOULD PUT US BACK. get behinde theteam like most scousers do, we never give up and never have like you lot say show respect to the shirt. its time you lot relise that liverpool fc needs your surport all this shite is negative for the club, remember were lfc
