Liverpool face Blackburn Rovers today at Ewood Park without Fernando Torres & Ryan Babel; but who do you think should be on the pitch when the match kicks off?
N’Gog is looking decent upfront, Gerrard is back, and our defence is looking good again; so there’s no reason why we can’t continue our winning streak (only 2 matches won, but 5 unbeaten) and go and beat Blackburn today.
I think we should line up 4-5-1 as follows:

What a load of pathetic crap YET AGAIN! and no aquilani AGAIN! why the fcuk is he on the bench if RB says he isnt fit to play and yet lucas and kuyt plays 90 mins again! is things really that bad we cant beat blackburn! and yet torres didnt play today but yet he be fit for the CL game in midweek we lacked everything today not enough talent going forward/or to score the goals! it was a typical performance today from i know we got a point but we shouldnt have to be setling for a point against these sort of sides! but as usual rafa is FUCKING OUR SEASON UP! we got a tough game next sun in arsenal and now we got the likes of sunderland and birmingham right behind us thats how bad things have got its a big joke it really is we 7th in PL and yet the rafa lovers still think this is acceptable well 4 me it isnt this draw feels like a defeat we needed a win today with arsenal next if we lose that then we are further and further down the table this season just gets WORSE!
Who has heard rafa’s PATHETIC EXCUSES AGAIN! his excuse for not playing aquilani again is just one PATHETIC excuse after another this is what rafa said we was thinking of putting him on today but the game was to open when a player isnt “match fit” it is a risk to put him on the pitch! SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE FCUK IS THAT PRICK TALKING ABOUT! WHY IS HE NAMING HIM ON THE BENCH IF HE ISNT FIT HE IS JUST ONE PATHETIC EXCUSE 4 A MANAGER! he also went on to say that maybe it would of been worse 4 him and with lucas and masch in midfield we have balance HA!HA! is this man 4 fucking real or what what is he fucking talking about someone please tell me coz id like to know! then RB went on to say that maybe aquilani will start on weds against fiorentina whats the point when we are fcuking out he should be starting every game in place of lucas! RB just gets worse with his no SENSE talking doesn’t he anyone agree?!? our season is a complete disaster and is going to get worse!
The only real mistake made by benitez is not to play gerard in central midfield. I thought lucas had a better game than usual If he was in a team of 10 other world class players people would think he was a good player. But I don’t know why he leaves kuyt up front on his own. Kuyt would never score 30 goals a season as a striker. The midfield is caught out all the time and i think it is partly because Gerard is too far up the field.. Its a bit strange that we dont have anyone but gerard (cos aquilani is ‘injured’) to ping passes, and yet he has gerard near the goal. Defences fear gerard running (or passing) from deep. A central defender can mark him out of the game so it is no point having him pushed too far up front. The other thing I noticed was that although liverpool battled they didn’t pose any problems for the defence as the defence was never forced to turn on themselves they w ere always facing the action. Either you put in a bit of long ball or you use wingers, (hansen mentioned that months ago, you have to make defenders turn to unsettle them). I would have aquilani on even if he is a flaming wheelchair cos Macherono and the brazilian arent exactly the most creative of players. Agger had a good game. That’s all they need balance in midfield provided with either gerard in central midfield or Aquilani, forget talk of buying someone liverpool are bolloxed for money

WElcome back Eddie. We have so many problems I don’t know where to start. I think Aquilani is either a EPL player or he is not. That to me is simple. Don’t spend all that money on a player (who MUST surely now be fit) to sit on the bench. He is after all our supposed replacement for Xabi (how we have missed him). My greatest fear however is Torres possibly wanting away at the end of the season. He is better than our club at present and won’t want to sit around without success. He must be horrified with what he is seeing either from the stands or on the pitch.
george torres will not leave liverpool, unless he is forced out for money, by the amercians. this year has so far been so poor , but it could be somethink of a lesson too. the players we have are not good enough, the squad is light, the manager has to learn from this , quality is now required. changes are needed and only then will improvment come, kuyt, lucas, dossena, need to be moved on some squad players or reserves allso need to be moved on , to make room for players we can use. and rafa needs to blood some of them in, another class winger, striker, and a midfield player are required. aqullani will be ok but we still need another midfield player with quality, lucas is not the answer. lets hope everyone learns from this season, otherwise we will never move on. at the end of the season i will give my final verdict on rafa, and the rest.
Thanks eddie, i dont criticise Rafa but i blame him. He can’t manage what he have. When faggei have this kind of problem, he choose d most fited player for the most dangerous position. Gerrard must go back 2 his natural position until Aquilani is fully fit. If we leave Lucas in d offencive position, we’ll alway have good game but bad result. How ya doing eddie where the hell you been man? i agree with you aswell that we got to many average players and we all know who they are i 4 one cant understand why he isnt playing aquilani when he is clearly fit otherwise he shouldnt be on the bench rafa hasn’t got what it takes to be a top manager with us he hasn’t got a clue on how to manage the players we got now id be happy if we finish 3rd or 4th but if we dont get a decent striker as back up 4 torres in jan then we can forget about 3rd or 4th rafa must stop playing the 3rd raters lucas and kuyt have been awful they should be shipped out along with a few others and a couple of decent ones in like RVN would get u goals is it true that we are in 4 pavlychenko in jan aswell any rumours in that one rouman,eddie what others rumours u heard guys.
Interesting to hear your opinions , unfortunately we all feel the same we just arnt good enough, our team lacks strengh in depth. Yet again Rafa needs to clear out the failures by selling Dossena, Babel, Voronin he should have enough money for a decent forward, equally its about time Aquillia is played surely he must be fit by now.
This is my analysis of our squad so far :
Reinna – Superb having a great season
Johnson – looks pretty good certainly – attack minded
Carragher – not as reliable as usual but appears to be getting back on track
Agger – looks good alongside Carragher lets hope he remains injury free he makes our defence look good
Insua – yet to convince me lacks a good cross I prefer Aurelio
Aurelio – reliable not that good going forward but can be relied upon
Kuyt – works hard better played on the right lacks what it takes upfront
Bennyoun – has played well in many games but non existant in others
Lucas – I dont rate this guy one little bit why we need 2 holding midfielders in home games begs belief – we should sell this guy
Mascherano – playing well along with Reinnaour player of the season
Rierra – not doing a lot
Babel – a complete waste of space
Voronin – even worse than a complete waste of space
Ngog – doing well for a youngster shows potential
Torres – if only he was fit superb player
Gerrard – as above
Spearing – looks to have potential
El Zhar – cant make my mind up doesnt look that great to me
Rafa – miles too defensive minded – yes unlucky with injuries but it doesnt say a lot of our squad to see them playing so poorly – job must be on the line unless we all see improvement
Gillet and Hicks – ruining our club the sooner we get rid of these clowns the better. They have saddled our club with huge debt and are not supporting Benitez in the transfer market everything they say and do is a con.
be a lot better. we signed a striker not a defender, and he is neither voronin a porn star, not a footballer. kuyt headless chicken, lucas not good enough yet, babel no heart, dossena usless jar was far better. el zar won.t make it, sg superb, rienna superb, carra, getting there, agger good when fit.insua needs to learn more, benny a gifted player,reira has had too many injuries this year. johnson so far so good, torres the best, mash up and down season, injuries have cost us this season but rafa needs to up his game too.if everyone is honest we need a good clearout next season..

We all know how super cautious Benitez is and they say a leopard doesn’t change its spots, so we shouldn’t expect too much from RB. If Rafa plays those 2 (Aquillani and Pacheco) then the useless match may end up being one of my best so far. i really need to see them in action and i pray they be shame RB by putting up a complete lfc performance that we all have been waiting for.
The draw on Saturday hammered me so hard that i was lost for words. it was a big wasted opportunity to close the gap. It was as if RB reads every thing we post here. Nearly all of us here agree on one thing Kuyt will never be a striker. And what did RB do the unthinkable of having Kuyt lead the line. Of course the best result we could get is a 0-0 draw! thanks to our defense because it could have been even worse.

With the disappearance of Voronin i have noticed that we graduated from constant losses to some draws. I can surely guess that with the disappearance of Kuyt from the striking line and Lucas from the starting line up i believe we can start wining again. Look Ngong is not world class striker but kuyt has made him look much better its have to think that voronin was preferred against him in some previous matches.
I have always believed one thing on strikers i.e Age makes them weaker but they never forget where the goal post are. That’s why i want Kuyt our from the striking role. Get talented striker that are very young(the pacheco’s) or that are very old (the Nestrooy’s) but not less talented hardworking Kuyts of this world especially 4 back up strikers. Lastly let me hope that RB didn’t rest Lucas so that he can be fress for the game against the Gooners.

kev i think lucas will play, and kuyt. aquilani will be on the bench, he might surprize us but i doubt it. pacheco might get a place on the bench, but i doubt that too insua needs a rest too he is allright going forward, but his postional sense is crap, he needs to learn when to go and when to stay, also he allways gets caught with the ball over the top. dossena did allright last night, give him a go, maybey its because he is going in jan he has picked up his game, he now plays without fear. i hope we play a lot better on sunday we need to otherwise we will get nothink..i have allso heard we might be swaping babel for pavchenko of spurs, how true 50/50 i say….

Kev J I am with you all the way until RB is out or atleast he discovers his form/miracles. Btw i don’t mind a lot on kuyt being part of the team considering our current squad but i only have two issues with RB and him.
1. playing him week in and week out and 4 all the 90 min and in every game.
2. most annoying is using him as Torres replacement in case the later is injured.
He is total shyt when used as a striker up front and alone. his hard work can only pay when he is in midfield.
secondly at his age and his running around certainly he needs some rest. Imagine such starting X1 at home by the way its may favourest.

i swear against an average team you can be sure to be 3-0 up at have time and then later the kuyts, Lucas can come in to waste time and chances. But i have never seen it and i don’t think i will see it soon with this RB.

Hi Kev, this will make your week. We have signed another kid ffs!!!!!!!!!! This time he is from Iceland!!! I hope he will prove me wrong but I has me doubts!!! I never knew we had scouts in Iceland. Let’s hope they are better in recognising talent than some who have been signed elsewhere, had a few games with the ressies and are then on their way downward and never to return. Nor were they ever likely to have made it at Anfield in the first place. I wonder how many scouts we have, what we pay them and what qualifications they have. I have thought this for a long time that our scouting sysytem needs a big overhaul. Kenny knows what we want. Perhaps he should send out some very clear guidelines. Finally I see we have the ‘Play like Liverpool’ book just released. I hate being sarcastic about my own team, but ffs they’ll be lucky to sell a dozen with that title!!
How I hope we play an attacking line up against Arsenal, playing 2 holding midfielders in a home game is ridiculous.I would play Aquillina Torres Gerrard and Bennyoun. Drop Lucas Kuyt and Skrtel possibly Insua.

Hi george i saw that how many more players for the ressies do we need it just beggars belief if only we was that quick signing players 4 the first team its always an eternity signing players for the first XI i to didnt think we had scouts in iceland! i agree with u aswell that our scouting policy needs looking at where do these scouts go to scout these players! i think on beaches whilst catching the rays! coz they certainly not doing there jobs, if its all they can come back with is 16 yo kids the first team needs players not the ressies if we lose sunday those guys then i dunno what ill do but it wont be very nice towards rafa me and JB got rafa sussed he is on his last legs and the sooner he goes the happier i will be i also hope that pacheco gets a game sunday aswell same goes for aquilani but we all know rafa will start with his two main boyfriends!!!!

You know what i was a die hard of Rafa but he disappointed me. He knows that no single liverpool fan wants the yanks. They are the cause of all the problems but i expected RB as he hard confessed him self that this season we have to be almost perfect in order to win the EPL.
But his imperfection as a manager this season can only be compared to that of Voronin as a Player because Lucas and Kuyt have performed better than him!! At least they give their best unfortunately which is always below average.
RB’s mistakes this season have been toooo much to bare and to be genuine. I pray that he makes one more mistake against the gooners by starting Aquillani it might get us some hope.
Btw what happened to his Rotation Policy he had better applied it on Sunday to give Lucas and Kuyt a rest and give Aquillani, and may pachecho some chance. And may i know why of recent he has turned Aurelio into a left winger? let me hope it not to increase the No of defenders on the pitch
