Liverpool v Arsenal – Match Preview

Liverpool face Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday, who are currently in 3rd place in the league, 4 points ahead of Liverpool. Fernando Torres is expected to start, while Alberto Aquilani could also make his first Premiership start of the season.
The last time these two faced at Anfield; it was an epic game that finished 4-4, with Arshavin bagging 4 goals for the gooners; a game which some might feel dented Liverpool’s title charge. Speaking about last season’s game, and looking ahead to the tie on Sunday, Rafa said “That was an amazing game with a lot of goals. It was good for the fans but it wasn’t the best for the manager because we both conceded four goals. We want to play well, score goals and not concede on Sunday.”
Benitez was also full of praise for Arsene Wenger: I think it’s amazing what he has achieved here in England, especially when you are a foreign manager. It is difficult because you need to understand a lot of things in a different country. He is a great manager.
Liverpool and Arsenal have produced some amazing games against each other in the past; such as the 4-2 Champion’s league win, the 6-3 win for Arsenal in which Julio Baptista got 4, and of course the 4-4 match last season.
The Reds go into the tie unbeaten in 4 games in the league (draws with Blackburn, Man City and Birmingham), plus the 2-0 win over Everton, while Arsenal have lost 2 of their last 3 league games; hopefully Liverpool can keep the pressure on the rest of the pack with a win to hopefully shut some of the recent know-it-alls such as Souness up.
This is time to stop criticising the rafa approach Liverpool have to win this game!

I would only criticise rafa if liverpool were in bottom half of table at any stage or out of the top 4 at the end stage of the season, groaning after every match won’t help i am afraid. I think for a team that came 2nd last season its not a crisis its a question of balance with alonso gone and the injuries liverpools defensive qualities are taking over and its not very pretty its true but they can turn it round, Talk of sacking rafa for this is a bit unfair in my opinion I know it s not a popular opinion but liverpool is not any old club that treats its manager like rubbish (even if the results have been rubbish lately)

Fairweather red we are out of the PL race CL,CC and gone into a mickey mouse comp in EL and playing un watchable football and got a manager that has no man management skills what so ever plays people out of position makes stupid team selection and stupid substitutions and a manager that hasnt really got a clue and you say it isnt a CRISIS if this isnt then id like to know what it is?
And no doubt for tomorrows game he will play his 2 boyfriends in lucas and kuyt those 2 shouldnt be anywhere near the first team id be very surprised if RB picked aquilani for 2 games in a row look out if we lose tomorrow then our season is over and rafa’s time will be over aswell coz he has taken us back not forward from last season! only rafa can do that cant he?!?
fairweather red i know were your comming from. i have surrported rafa all along. but my time might be comming to a end, lose on sunday and my faith will all bebut gone. i hope rafa pulls it off because i have given a lot of time sticking up for him. sometimes agaist my better judgment. a win tomorrow might just get us going but with kuyt, and lucas i have my doubts about tomorrow, i kow we have had injuries, i know the yanks won,t give him the money he needs, i also know he is not getting the players he wants, but that does not explain kuyt, and lucas in are team. pacheco is better than kuyt, not as a work horse, but a better player.the game is about judgement rafa knows this we have all seen that kuyt, and lucas are not good enough. and if rafa does not see it then he will be taking the ferry across the mersey back to spain…
Guys pls i know is not easy but let stop this critism & support this gratest club. I believe it will become history very soon. YNWA
We Support Lfc that why we will not sit down and watch RB turn it into a laughing stoke. I will stick with Lfc , shout out my support when even its clear we are not wining. But when it comes to RB i will hold him accountable because he has ganged with the yanks against lfc.
you can accuse rafa, of many things but in with the yanks thats a joke. gillett hates rafa thats well known jb you sure your not on the jd? and hicks is only or was only using rafa as a pawn, so he could get in with the fans. saying i am on rafa,,s side when most fans stuck by rafa. are club is down because of the owners, and rafa. but there seprate cases, it all needs to be changed . i would never stop surrporting lfc whatever happens no true fan would, but you have to be honest as well as pratical when rafa goes we need money, hence the yanks need to be gone too. no matter who comes in will want money because they will need it and they will have the same shite thats there now kuyt and the rest. a manager can only manage with what he has..

certainly not every body knows how pathetic their R/ship is. But what i meant was that after the Yanks screwing up Lfc our only hope was on Rafa to redeem us but what does he do he also provides his worst. Hence Joining the screwing team of the yanks.
That’s why i will support Lfc and sing YNWA even if the yanks are watching because lets be honest the little we are getting is from fans and some hardworking players eg Torres. We can’t afford any more lads joining the screwing team of which the yanks are captain and Rafa slowly but surely is becoming their Torres i mean he is becoming unstoppable! i hope now u understand!!
