Liverpool have agreed the free transfer of Milan Jovanovic on a free transfer from Standard Liege. The Serbian Striker will join the club at the end of the season.
Jovanovic has agreed a 3 year deal until 2013, and will add some much needed firepower to Liverpool’s strikeforce; having already turned down one small club on Merseyside: “Everton aren’t a big club. That club I have turned down already.”
Whilst free transfers haven’t always turned out well for Rafa (apart from Fowler), he has a record of 89 goals in 109 appearances for Standard Liege, so we have to give this guy a chance and from the following video it looks like he can do the business:

I completely agree that we have to give the guy a chance, and even that the videos of him on Youtube do look like he might have the skills…..that said the only way this guy is going to do anything is if he plays upfront as a Striker……….Does anyone really think that with a fit Torres and Gerrard that he is not going to be consigned to the wings like poor Dirk Kuyt? My gut feeling says he will be another squad player that wont actually make us any better.
