It is no secret the squad needs strengthening this summer; with both players and the manager alike calling for funds to improve the team. Rafa says we need three new top class players costing around £20million each; but in which positions do you think the money should be spent?

The Liverpool manager wants new funds from the lying scumbag owners to improve his side; Obviously we need another striker, but it looks increasingly likely that Milan Jovanovic is signing on a free transfer, so where else do we need to invest?

While Fabio Aurelio still hasn’t got a new deal (after turning down the latest offer), we need a left back to give Insua a much needed kick up the arse to improve his performances; so there’s one area that needs improving.

A striker at £20million+ would clearly be the most needed acquisition – while we would struggle to find a world beater available at that price; surely we could get someone in to play alongside/in the absence of Torres.

We have 4 centre backs in Agger, Carra, Skrtel, Kyrgiakos; so we don’t really need another there. Right back we have Johnson, Darby and Kelly, so again there’s not really another needed (Degen will probably be on his way having spent more time injured than on the pitch).

On the right wing we have Kuyt, Maxi Rodriguez and Yossi Benayoun who can play anywhere across the front; so it looks as though only the left wing needs cover as Babel doesn’t get a regular run in the side.

£60million to spend – who would you go for? I reckon we need a left back, a left winger and a striker. Failing that; sell Aquilani and spend £60million on bringing Xabi Alonso, Arbeloa and Hyypia back!
