Andy Carroll – “It’s the best feeling ever”
Andy Carroll headed the winner in the 87th minute to clinch a 2-1 comeback victory over Everton to secure a place in the FA Cup final and labelled the moment as ‘the best feeling ever’.
“It’s the best feeling ever,” said Carroll. “We worked hard and getting a goal at the end there was great.
“I had to wait until the end. I had a few chances and I probably should have scored earlier. I kept at it and it was a great ball in by Craig.
“Like you say, I’ve had some criticism but I kept on going and to get the winner here is a great feeling.
“I believed in myself every day and I got my chance here. I’ve started two games and scored two goals, so it’s great.”
