Aquilani leaves Liverpool for good

Aquilani’s time at Liverpool Football Club is finally over after the club confirmed the midfielder has completed a permanent move to Fiorentina for a reported £4 million deal.

 

A statement on club website read: “Liverpool Football Club can today confirm that Alberto Aquilani has completed a permanent transfer to Serie A side Fiorentina.

 

“The Italian midfielder joined Liverpool in 2009 but made just 28 first-team appearances having spent the last two seasons on loan in his homeland.

 

“Everyone at the club would like to wish Alberto all the best for the future.

 

Aquilani undoubtedly is a quality player with good technique and vision but it has become obvious over the last few seasons that he just does not want to be here. His Agent has constantly been trying to find him a move back to Italy. At least now we can move on and find some players who want to give there all for LFC, rather than having a player who we constanlty loan out to other clubs at a reduced price.
