Barcelona star denies Torres comments

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has denied claims that he gave an interview saying it is embarrassing for Torres to be playing at Liverpool.

Pique apparently told the Daily Star “There is no way this can go on for Nando. It’s just impossible, I spoke with him before he committed to Liverpool and he told me he wanted to win things with Liverpool – but if the club didn’t invest and show real intent, he would be forced to leave.

“It’s really embarrassing for Nando to play in a team of that quality.”

However, Pique has denied these claims to the well respected Guillem Balague, who also points readers to the Bleacher Report article in which they highlight all the quotes the Star have printed.

    Torres is frustrated, he is just upset at the situation liverpool are in. If he just wanted money he could get 80 k a week more at chelsea! Overall he wants medals and with liverpool and if its going 2 take 5 years who would stay ! ?
