Bid accepted for Dempsey, But will Liverpool match it?

Reports just in that Aston Villa have had a £7mil offer accepted for Clint Dempsey.. Will be interesting if Liverpool wish to follow up their interest in the player after he has been linked to the reds most of the summer. There is also the chance that Dempsey will also not be willing to join Aston Villa if he thinks it will not be a step up in his career, but with him currently refusing to play for Fulham he may be running out of options.

    As a red, I donot regret if Dempsey moves to another club because Rodgers is fucking slow in buying the player. He did many other things for a long time and then is trying to sign him only in the last hour. Fucking stupid!

    Liverpool should offer £3 million and Martin Jol will shit in his pants. He can’t keep Demsey after messing up the whole situation with his arse mouth and also cannot push Demsey to Aston Villa if the player does not want to leave. By mid-day Fulham Chairman would be calling Jol and screaming at him for screwing up the transfer window for the club. The manner in which Jol has treated the player, no other players would be signing for them today. Serve them right for complaining to the FA about Liverpool. Ha! Ha! Ha!
