Do Liverpool really want to sell Carroll?

Rumors are doing the rounds today both in papers and online that Liverpool are looking to offload striker Andy Carroll, just one year after he was signed for a club record of £35million. Personally I think this is just talk to feed the rumor mill.

Sure he hasn’t lived up to his over inflated deadline day transfer just yet, but people need to remember he is still only 23 and if it wasn’t for a few great saves or the cross bar being a couple of inches higher he would have an extra 3 or 4 goals this season and things wouldn’t look all that bad considering the minutes he has actually played.

With abit of confidence which should come from an extended run in the starting lineup and a few more goals, Liverpool could well have the big strong target man they have been needing for years.

So were asking our readers would you like to sell Andy Carroll back to Newcastle and if so at what price?

You say his confidence would come back from extra game time. I would ask why is it that he isn’t getting game time? And the answer for that is down to only one man – KK. Despite KK’s outward show of support for Carroll I believe that Carroll will not now fit in with LFC’s game plan and therefore KK gives him little game time. Sure he fired one in against Division 1 Oldham last Friday but what about the absolute sitter of a header (his supposed strength in the air) he had two minutes later??!!!!!!! We really do play better with Carroll not around. He’s a striker ffs and yet when he is on the field how many times is he way out of a striking position? I’ ve posted on here several times that I really had hoped that like Roy Keane, like Joe Cole, like Ryan Babel we had signed a good one in Carroll. I genuinely hope I;m the one who is wrong in this but I just believe however long Carroll is at Anfield he will not dothe business for us.
