Hamburg’s technical director, Frank Arnesen, has expressed his admiration for the Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt as speculation over the Holland international’s future continue.
“A player like Kuyt, who is still sharp, can bring a lot to any club. He’s a selfless player with a great mentality,” Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen told the newspaper
However, the Dutchman’s agent has stated that there has not been any contact with the German club.
“There have not been any talks with Arnesen or with someone else from HSV,” he said. “Would Kuyt be interested in a move to the Bundesliga? I can’t say anything about that. A lot of clubs have made enquiries, but there’s nothing concrete for now.”
Kuyt, who has 85 caps for the national side, joined Liverpool in 2006 and is under contract until June 2013.
