Liverpool announce Allen Signing with more to come

Liverpool today completed the signing of midfielder Joe Allen from Swansea City,triggering a release clause of £15 million in his contract.

 

The 22 year old successfully completed the medical today and is reunited with former Boss Brendan Rodgers.

 

“I feel incredible. Everyone knows the history of this club, it’s a massive club, and I’m delighted to have joined.

 

“The passion that people here have for football is something I share and I want to be part of that.

 

“I’m looking forward to being part of some great years ahead for Liverpool Football Club.”

 

The boss also confirmed,the fans can expect further new faces at Anfield before 31 of august after Allen’s Signing.

 

“We need to make a number of signings before the window shuts in order to help the players already here,” he added.

 

“The loss of a few players has made the squad depth shallow, but a lot of hard work is going on behind the scenes to bring in new faces.”

    Great signing, the bit is class and will continue to improve at our club. Where do all these idiots that mock our new signings come from? They can’t be LFC fans can they? To “support” is to do just that, back your manager, your players and the coaching staff 100%! Let’s not all pretend we know better, Rodgers will know far more about football than we ever will so lets leave to professionals to do what they do best!

    Quality player, will keep up ticking over with possession and draw out defences for suarez and borini to exploit the space in behind. Nice one Brendan!

    Totally agree with redforever….riena johnson agger skrtel enrique allan lucas gerrard saurez borini and maybe tello a johnson or ramirez and we have a side that no one should take us lightly. Very excited for the new season ynwa

    he,s a good player  and should be one for us too just hope we keep agger and buy a proper wide player. tello is still raw but i prefer him to johnson of city,  spearing should go downing if we got a decent fee for him yes him too.still have this feeling newcastle will wait till last day to try and get andy carroll on the cheap..i,ll tell them to fook off  20 mil or no  cheeky twats,  plus we would need time to buy a replacement   still think we will get another 1/2 in before window closes…

      Hi Rouman, (thought you were long gone from here, haven’t seen a post from you for ages, nor mucch from me either!!!!!!!!!). For the first time for god knows how many years we have had an encouraging pre season and we should get over WBA on Saturday. Then the real tests begin. I am fully behind BR, I reckon he is giving us 101% and has got the players fully undersatnding the way he wants us to press and play. I agree we should offload Spearing and also for me, Adam. Have you heard anything about what may happen to Wilson? Came here with a bit of a fanfare and although still young now behind Coates and Kelly even if we let Agger go – which I really hope won’t happen!!! Also Donni? Was he in yesterdays squad. If not I’m intrigued whats happening to him.

    Certainly good signing!  Joe Allen will be great for liverpool. Liverpool must leave a mark in this season of premier league…i must say! Just go and do something great this time!
