Liverpool back in to host NextGen semi-final

In a strange turn of events Liverpool will now host the NextGen Series semi-final against Ajax at Anfield on the 14th of March.

Liverpool lost to Tottenham in the quarter-finals but we’re recalled to the competition after Spurs fielded an ineligible player.

We’d like to wish the boys all the best in their Semi-Final against Ajax and lets hope they put it all in and make the Final which will be on the 25th of March.

In an even stranger twist we have ben given a home (Anfield) semi final against Ajax whilst Milan and Marseille have to play at Griffin Park!!! The final is at Selhurst Park so our lads cannothave a much better run in!

Nothing to do with Next Gen topic, but don’t know how to start a new topic. One last try for me on a site which is dying or has died. So very sad after 5 plus years……. Not ONE comment after the Brighton game and in the lead up to Wembley on Sunday. What HAS happened?????? Anyway, my point today is that I had a chance to see the full Brighton game replay on TV today and I really liked the way the left winger Kazenga LuaLua played. He was a handful for Johnson and not overawed at all by playing at Anfield. His goal was a carbon copy of the one he scored against MK Dons which is on YouTube (no homework here Redmen??). I don’t know how he much he would cost but I could see him linking well with Suarez and he CAN cross a ball and has great pace. I really hope Comolli etc will keep an eye on him for the rest of the season. He would not cost us a fortune, unlike some oteres we will be linked with.

    Hi George..

Sorry you feel the site is not as active as it once was. I have personally had alot of other working commitments of late which have not allowed me to write as many articles as I would of liked. We are currently looking at adding a few more writers to the ranks of Anfieldred which will help out alot with the content. You can also expect a few articles in the next couple of days which will cover the buildup to the Carling Cup Final.

I’d have to agree with your comments on LuaLua tho as he was impressive and the standout player for Brighton.
