Liverpool carry on cup form to beat Wolves 3-0

It was a quiet deadline day for Liverpool in the transfer market with no major first team comings or goings. But they have played well to record a 3-0 win against Wolves at the Molineux.

All three goals came in the second half. Carroll opened the scoring with a prod at the far post in the 52nd minute.

Inform Craig Bellamy doubled the lead soon after with a low shot from outside the box, in all fairness the keeper should have done alot better.

Dirk Kuyt sealed the win with a nice finish from a tight angle after being setup on a quick break by Charlie Adam. This was Kuyt’s 50th League goal for the club.

It was very good to see Liverpool carry on their cup form an with Chelsea drawing 1-1 with Swansea they have gained 2 points in their chase for the final champions league spot.

What do our fans think of the game? and our lack of transfer activity?

Once again, Jose Enrique showed what a truly world class left back he is. I know it was only Wolves, which may be a bit harsh as they are a Premier League club, but everything was clicking together last night. I think we’ve finally realised that we can use Carroll as an asset and play to his strengths, as Newcastle did so effectively last season, and Charlie Adam is a biggest assistant this season, so his performances can’t be frowned on – without him, we wouldn’t have scored half the goals we have this season so far. This are looking brighter right now!!! :)
