Liverpool monitoring NextGen star

Liverpool are said to be monitoring Sporting Lisbon’s Joao Teixeria and will hope a deal can be struck this transfer window to bring him to Anfield.

The young midfielder will turn 19 this month and has put in some impressive performances for Sporting Lisbon in the NextGen Series, scoring against Liverpool in Sporting’s 3-0 victory.

Sporting Lisbon have a history of producing world class players out of their youth academy. With Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani to name a few.

It’s good to see Liverpool targeting exciting youth players and with Sporting Lisbon looking so impressive so far in the NextGen Series they could be acquiring one of the stars of the future.
