Maxi Rodriguez leaves Liverpool

Liverpool have today confirmed that Maxi Rodruguez has been signed by Argentine club Newell’s Old Boys.

Maxi joined from Athletico in the January transfer window of 2010. He made 73 appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals along the way.

Maxi will be remembered for scoring 2 hat-tricks against Birmingham and Fulham within the space of a few weeks.

We would like to wish Maxi all the best in the future and he will be remembered for being a         player who gave it his all and knew what it ment to wear the red shirt.
