Official: Liverpool agree loan deal for Nuri Sahin

Well after a long drawn out affair, Liverpool have beaten Arsenal by completing a season long loan deal for Real Madrid’s Nuri Sahin.

Sahin was signed last season by Real Madrid from the German Champions Borussia Dortmund, where he was named the Budesliga Payer of the Season.

The Turkish international has 31 caps for his country and will undergo a medical today to complete his transfer.

There’s mixed reports out there about the possibility of an option to buy the player at the end of the loan, so we will report more on this when the facts come out.

What does everyone think of the deal for Nuri Sahin?

Major signing here in Nuri Sahin, really glad we beat arsenal to the loan deal, lets hope he does well and we can make the deal permanent at the end of the season.

BR spoke really well a few days ago about only wanting players at Anfield who themselves only wanted to play for LFC. Sahin seemed to take an age to make up his mind, so my question is – really how committed is he? Don’t get me wrong I am stoked that he is actually with us and not the Gooners, and I really hope he will do the business for us (with his background he should). So I very much welcome Sahin, it’s clearly been so difficult to get good players in this preseason because of our lack of CL competition and our `lowly’ 8th place. Right lads and BR, lets now move it on starting on Sunday and PLEASE NO repeat of the utter rubbish I saw last Saturday!!
