Luis Garcia Luis Garcia came off the bench to score a late winner three minutes from time against Arsenal.

Earlier in the game Gerrard had a penalty saved after 30 minutes by Lehman after Morientes was brought down by Eboue.

Morientes, Kewell and Riise all came close in the first half.

Lehmann began the second half in an equally inspired form, foiling Robbie Fowler, after the Liverpool striker’s first-time touch left Senderos flat-footed.

Just past the hour Liverpool went close with a Morientes header and Sami Hyypia’s clever flick that Ljungberg, who was stationed at the post, cleared off the line.

Garcia had come on 84 minutes and three minutes later he was the first to react as Lehmann was unable to hold Hamann’s powerful shot.

The win moved Liverpool 10 points clear of fifth-placed Arsenal

Some classic footy blunders..about halfway through is LFC vs Villa and Rosenthal hitting the bar in 1992 ;)

Classic from Forlan right at the end too.  We’d probably advise to turn your sound down first as the music is a bit over dramatic!

gerrard mascot handshake
Some great footage from the tunnel against Chelsea, where Gerrard goes to shake the hand of the Chelsea child mascot to get a suprise response.

Cheeky little bugger, Gerrard saw the funny side of it anyway!

Typical Brummy Chiles commentary over the top too, ‘he must be related to Dennis Wise’ :)

Reina furious with Robbens diving antics but no appeal

reina red vs chelsea Liverpool have decided not to appeal against Jose Reina's red card in the 2-0 defeat at Chelsea on Sunday. The Spanish goalkeeper was sent off following an incident with Chelsea's Arjen Robben, during which he placed a hand on the Dutch player's face. But the Football Association received no appeal before their noon deadline. Reina will serve a three-game ban, meaning he will miss Wednesday's trip to Charlton, the visit to Wigan and the home game with Arsenal on 14 February.

Benitez said "I must go to the hospital because the injury was so serious that maybe he will be there for one week,. Reina has made a mistake because Robben was talking with him and he turns and touches his face, but has he broken his neck? He has dived, it is so clear. I don't understand why you can kick everyone in a game, then you touch one player and you are sent off. What kind of professional can you be against another professional if you leave the other player not playing for three games?"
