Reds agree deal for Heerenveen winger Oussama Assaidi

Liverpool Football Club today reached an agreement to sign 24-year-old Moroccan international winger Oussama Assaidi from Dutch club Heerenveen for a fee believed to be around £3 million.

Assaidi scored 20 goals in 68 appearances for the Dutch club and has 22 caps for Morocco making his international debut in February 2011.

Assaidi is a technically gifted player with pace and trickery that can play on the left, right,or as a Striker. Although it is too early the judge, the youngster looks really talented and I feel he can bring a lot to our team.

    BR making up for lack of funds with intelligent purchases. His working experience with lower division has taught him well how to be responsible wth his spending. This new player could turn out to be the buy of the season. His end product seems better than the Barca kid who apparently turned down Liverpool. What I like about this transfer is that nobody saw it coming. Quality work done by back room staff at Liverpool for a quality player. One more player, Sahin from Real (loan deal) and the club will be ready to take the PL by storm this season. Getting warmed up for the season to start tomorrow.
