Brendan Rodgers insists he has full control over Liverpool’s transfer activities and said he is under no pressure from owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) to sign players.
“That was one of the key points for me coming in,” Rodgers told Sky Sports News.
“I believe in communication, which is very important, so I have a really good working relationship with the managing director Ian Ayre, and he and I speak on a daily basis.
“They are getting on with doing the work, in terms of looking at the targets that we want to bring in.
“I am quite relaxed in relation to the type of targets I want to bring in.”
