Transfer News Latest : Liverpool hope to complete Sahin signing in the next 48 hours
The Spanish football press are reporting that Nuri Sahin has recently decided against a switch to Arsenal and should finalize a deal with the Reds in the next 48 hours.
Spanish newspaper Marca reports the players agent Reza Fazeli travelled to Anfield on Monday to iron out the details of the deal.
“Liverpool want to make the move official on Thursday, provided it can tie up any lose ends with the player. Liverpool which was the first club on the scene has once again emerged as the most suitable option, as the player knows that Brendan Rodgers will guarantee him a place in the starting line up.”
Arsenal were unwilling to accept a loan deal and were pushing for a permanent transfer which neither Madrid nor Sahin himself agreed.
Sahin is left out of the Madrid squad for their clash against Barcelona tonight and if rumours are to believed, the Turkish playmaker will be Liverpool’s forth summer signing after the capture of Fabio Borini, Oussama Assaidi and Joe Allen.
This would be a massive coup for Liverpool if the deal is confirmed, but who would of thought a loan deal would have so many twists and turns before being completed?
