Türkish delight in Liverpool as wonderkid joins the Reds

Liverpool have reportedly agreed a £1 million fee with Sami Hyppia’s Bayer Leverkusen for 18 year old Turkish starlet Samed Yesil. Like recent Liverpool arrival Nuri Sahin, Samed was born in Germany however is of Turkish descent. Unlike Sahin though, Samed chose to play for Germany.

He notched up an impressive 19 goals in 21 games in the 2010/11 season for the Germany u17 national team. Despite being only 18, he has already made an appearance in the Bundesliga.
The highly-rated youngster caught the attention of Premier League giants Arsenal last summer. A deal for him looked just about done when it mysteriously fell through at the last moment.

He is rumored to be undergoing a medical at Melwood later today. Considering the number of European giants tracking him last year (Arsenal, Dortmund and Bayern) £1 million looks to be an absolute steal.
